I truly believe in testosterone creams for women. I had a hysterectomy with ovaries removed due to reasons unrelated to uterine problems 20 years ago. At that time having the feeling that something vital had been altered, I requested testosterone replacement after doing some research (no internet then). At that time well known doctors, GYNs who are supposed to understand women's issues, were ignorant of the need for women to have low doses of testosterone that occur naturally in intact women. They refused me and were even amused by my "silly" request. Instead they increased my estrogen (only) replacement therapy and/or told me it was in my head. I suffered greatly over the changes in my body, my responsiveness, and it wreaked havoc on my intimate relationships, so important to my life, wellbeing, satisfaction and happiness. Sexual satisfaction is a great gift that should be a part of any human being's life.
Since then, and about time, the healthcare community has finally overcome taboos regarding studying women's sexuality, and come to the conclusion that testosterone is not just a male hormone. It is indeed very useful for women, especially those who have had hysterectomies, in particular those whose ovaries have been at times cavalierly removed for their own good.
For some time, I had to nearly beg my GYN to agree to provide me with prescription for testosterone cream to be compounded by the very few compounding pharmacies I had been able to locate. Since then an estrogen replacement therapy medication that includes testosterone has been approved, however, I have been told that ingesting testosterone over time it is altered by the liver and rendered useless (or something along those lines).
So it is about time a true testosterone cream for women is being studied. It should not only helpful to desperate women, but also be very profitable, rather than just focusing on men's needs, like viagra, which is also a blessing I am sure. In conclusion, Thank God for enlightenment!!

After reading how Libido works would really be ready soon to use something at this point thought it was only me feeling this way since my Hysterectom with taking it all. Life for the last 5 years has not been the same and feel like something has to work. so i won't feel so upset at myself.
